2026 Vlogs, Blogs and Podcasts

Welcome to the first official new upload to this' site. We have, as you can see, transferred many pages over from our Owlbut's World of Learning site which now purely has material on it from which children can learn and have fun. This site allows us, as we say on the front page, to provide more grown-up content to those of you who have the learning and development of the next generation in your hands..

If I could just briefly explain the titling of this section to those, like me, over the age of fifty which is a bit like saying a toddler is under 25. However, indulge my delusions, please. The Vlogs are video logs, usually with Molly and I chatting on video and you able to watch. Some might be live who knows. The Blogs are purely written material, like this one, where one of us shares some news or thoughts with you. The podcasts are audio uploads again perhaps with Molly, perhaps me or maybe both.

The purpose of this blog was just to explain how that bit works and to tell you that there will be quite a lot more over the next few months before we begin our journey in, around, through, under and over (maybe) every county and some metropolitan boroughs in England.

For those of you that don't know, I have done an awful lot of travelling in my life but then again I've had rather a lot of life to do it in. Apart from three, once in a lifetime journeys, I may be feline, in England, I've also travelled and worked in Poland, Thailand, Brunei, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. Each time though I have learnt so much and so, taking you and your children with us on another journey will, I have no doubt, be a fantastic learning experience for all of you but rest assured, despite all that travelling, I will still be learning too. You never stop learning or at least I don't.

icon Alongside the learning we hope we will create in our followers an infectious desire to not just follow us but to get outside yourselves and see what you can find and, in the case of our young followers, try some things you can do with and in nature.

If I can force my aged body, sadly coupled to a juvenile mind, outside then so can anyone younger, Older bodies can have ago too. In fact you younger ones have the advantage of a mind and body being in agreement as to what you can do. Don't let that active, curious, imaginative, creative mind stagnate in front of a small screen. Screen to Green (or yellow, or brown or any colour found outside) is the cry. Join us.

icon We are, we believe, rapidly losing the urge to explore, apart from exploring, or more correctly called googling (please not surfing; surfing is a fantastic outdoor activity and my efforts on Bondi beach in Australia were only marginally eclipsed by the 5-year old next to me) the internet.

Oh and this upload is appearing on the birthday of my great friend and colleague, Molly. Her mind and body are still co-ordinating perfectly although there are some examples you can see if you join our Patreon page where you may doubt it. That Patreon page allows you to make a monthly donation (could be just £5), get some goodies and contribute, in a small way, to the work we want to do. Remember, if you think education and learning is expensive, try ignorance or a life on social media. Thanks.
